The following Services are subject to fees

Fees for buyers

• Shipping items to you ("Exclusive shipping fee")
  Shipping items is free when the value of purchased items is $50 or more in the shopping cart. For shipments of other items the Exclusive Shipping Fee applies.
  Example: shipping 3 sets of clothes (each set containing three articles) to you: approximately $12 (now with promotional rates approximately $8.00).

Fees for sellers

• Shipping in items to Swap.com Valet Service ("Valet Service Fee")
  Example: $8.90 flat rate (you can get discounts by inviting people)
• Selling fee: $1 + 20% of sales price
  Example: $3 fee for a sales price of $10 (you get $7)
• Extended storage fee for items stored for more than 60 days. (Storage fees waived until 15th June, 2013.)
  Example: $3 per month for 10 sets of kids' clothing items

Fees for swappers

• Shipping in items to Swap.com Valet Service ("Valet Service Fee")

Detailed fee structure

Shipping in items to Swap.com Valet Service ("Valet Service Fee")

Shipping one or more Items to the Swap.com Valet Service is subject to the flat Fee of $8.90, provided that the package size is less than 10,000 cubic inches (see details here). Items can be dropped off at any UPS service location or handed to a UPS driver (search for locations here).

The Ship In Fee applies only to shipments originating from contiguous US.

Shipping out items from Swap.com Storage (“Exclusive Shipping Fee”)

Shipping items is free when the value of purchased items is $50 or more in the shopping cart. For shipments of other items the Exclusive Shipping Fee applies. The Exclusive Shipping Fee is based on the shipment weight and quantity of the Items as set forth below. Multiple Items can be combined into the same shipment to save on shipping costs. The total Exclusive Shipping Fee will be always visible before making the payment for the shipment. Please note that in several cases an Item consists of several articles (forming a set) as described here. The Fee is always based on number of Items (sets), not individual articles.

Limited time promotional offer: "Per item" shipping fee reduced to $0.10 per item ("per shipment" and "per lbs." fees still apply, see below). Offer valid till May 15th, 2013. From May 16th, 2013 onwards, the "Per item" shipping fee will be $0.25 per item.

Shipments weighing 13 oz. or more

Total shipping fee = "Per Shipment" fee + "Per lbs." fee + "Per Item" fee

Extra fee for very large volume packages (over 5,000 cubic inch) is $9.50.

Shipments weighing less than 13 oz.

The Exclusive Shipping Fee will also apply to shipping own items out from storage.

The Exclusive Shipping Fee only applies to shipments to contiguous US.

Selling Items (“Selling Fee”)

Selling one or more Items in the Service is subject to the Selling Fee. The Selling Fee is $1.00 + 20% of the sales price of the traded Item(s) and it is charged from the seller when the sales price is transferred. In addition, any fees charged by payment facilitators (such as PayPal) may be charged from the seller (currently PayPal charges a fee of $0.30 + 2.9% from the seller).

Swapping items

Swapping Items is free of charge. However, Shipping Items to be swapped in Swap.com and shipping swapped Items from the Swap.com Storage are subject to the Valet Service Fees and Exclusive Shipping Fees set forth above.

Storing Items in the Swap.com Storage (“Extended Storage Fee”)

Note: As an introductory offer, we will waive the storage fees until June 15nd, 2013.

Storing any Item in the Swap.com Storage is free of charge for the first 60 days. After 60 days it is subject to the Storage Fee. The Storage Fee is based on the amount of storage “slots” that are required to store Your Item(s), and the corresponding storage plan as set forth below. When You ship an Item in to Swap.com Storage (or when an Item is moved to Your storage slots from another user’s storage slots) You will after the free 60 day period be automatically assigned with a sufficient storage plan for your Item. If you already have a storage plan and if You store additional Items that will not fit in to Your current storage plan Your storage plan will be automatically upgraded, and if you remove Items from the storage Your storage plan will be automatically downgraded if the remaining Items will fit in to a smaller storage plan.

Monthly storage plans

Typical space in slots taken by items:
1 slot - for example one or two kids’ clothing items
2 slots - for example kids’ shoes or a set of three or more kids’ clothing items
5 slots - for example a set of kids’ linen or a small plush toy
10 slots - for example kids’ rollerblades or a large plush toy
20 slots - for example a baby carrier or a baby gym
40 slots - for example lightweight strollers or a walk-thru gate

Payment defaults ("Realization Fee")

If You do not pay the Storage Fee or any other fee for Your Item(s) within seven (7) days after it is due, we will have the right to sell or otherwise dispose of such Item(s) on such terms that we may determine ("Realization"). Such Realization will be subject to a flat Realization Fee of $10.00.

Usually, we will carry out the Realization by first reducing the price of the Item(s) gradually in steps until the price reaches zero. If the Item is not sold before the price reaches zero, it will be sent to recycling or realized with other non-selling items and sold at Swap.com Basement as part of a larger lot.

If the Item is sold during this process, the sales price attributable to Your Item less the Storage Fee, Realization Fee and any other fees that are outstanding will be donated to charity or returned to You. If the sales price does not cover the Storage Fee, Realization Fee and the other fees that are outstanding, no portion will be returned and You will not be liable for any unpaid portion of the Realization Fee or Storage Fee.
