Acceptance criteria for items sent to Swap.com Valet Service

The items go to other families just like yours. Therefore Swap.com Valet Service only accepts items that:

  1. are clean, do not have stains or dirt, and are odor and pet hair-free (clothing items have to be freshly laundered before sending to Swap.com Valet Service)
  2. are like new or at least in good working order (clothing items cannot have excessive signs of wear) and are complete with all components
  3. can be shipped via UPS package service (maximum dimensions for shipping container are approximately 21" x 21" x 21" or 40" x 15" x 15" or 100" x 10" x 10")

Swap.com Valet Service currently accepts only baby, kids' and teen's items and books and DVDs for all ages including:

  • clothing 
  • toys
  • games
  • kids' sports equipment
  • media (computer and video games, DVDs, Blue-Ray discs with G, PG, PG-13, EC, E, E10, or T ratings), see exceptions below. 
  • Books for both kids and grown-ups
  • baby gear (with the exception of very large items, such as strollers)

We cannot currently accept:

  • adult-sized clothing
  • music CDs aside from those that are kid-themed
  • electric or electronics items (except very simple on/off type devices, such as baby monitors)
  • cardboard puzzles
  • furniture (except small items)
  • child car seats (except booster chairs)
  • computer games without the case or original artwork, or that were downloaded and accessed on the internet with any purchased and/or private access or registration code, or run on old operating systems (e.g. Atari, Amiga, Commodore 64, older than Windows XP & Mac OS X)
  • Rated R DVDs,  Rated M or A Video/Computer games
  • VHS-cassettes or older storage formats; audio cassettes, vinyl records or older storage formats
  • very large items (maximum dimensions for shipping container are approximately 21" x 21" x 21" or 40" x 15" x 15" or 100" x 10" x 10")

We will not accept products that have been recalled. Product recalls can be searched at www.recalls.gov
